Edit video without installing anything
Browser video editors used to mean uploading to someone’s server. WebCodecs and WebGPU changed that: havenConverter’s timeline decodes, composites and encodes on your machine. Nothing is uploaded: the file is read from your disk, processed in the browser tab and saved back to your device.
What the timeline does
Multiple video and audio lanes; drag, trim, split, ripple delete; per-clip move/resize/rotate on the preview; opacity and fades; cross-dissolve and dip-to-black transitions; clip speed 0.25×–4×; titles with fonts, outline, background box and entrance animations; images as overlays; music with waveforms; undo/redo; autosave and restore; export at 16:9, 9:16, 1:1 or 4:5 in MP4, MOV, MKV or WebM.
What it does not do (yet)
No colour grading, keyframed effects or multicam. Audio speed changes shift pitch. See the roadmap in the repository for what is coming next.
Works offline
After the first visit the app and its engines are cached; you can install it as an app and edit on a plane.

- Which browser is best?
- Chrome or Edge on a machine with hardware codecs is fastest; Safari and Firefox both pass the self-test.
- Where are my projects saved?
- In the browser’s private storage on your device (autosave). Export the video to keep a permanent copy.
