MOV to MP4 — without uploading

A MOV from an iPhone or camera usually already contains H.264 or HEVC video; it only needs a different container to play everywhere. havenConverter can remux or re-encode, and does both in the tab. Nothing is uploaded: the file is read from your disk, processed in the browser tab and saved back to your device.

Steps

  1. Drop the MOV into the studio.
  2. Container: MP4. Codec: keep H.264 (or HEVC if the source is HEVC and the destination supports it).
  3. Resolution: Original, Quality: High — for a like-for-like file.
  4. Export.

Keep the audio

AAC audio is copied straight through into the MP4 on the hardware path, so the soundtrack is bit-identical. Other audio codecs are re-encoded via the CPU engine when needed.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a file size limit?
No fixed limit. Very large files simply take longer; output streams to disk.
Can I batch many MOVs?
Yes — drop several files at once and the batch queue converts them with the same settings, saving into a folder you choose.
