Compress video without uploading

Make a video smaller by reducing its resolution and/or bitrate. havenConverter re-encodes locally — on capable browsers using your hardware encoder — and shows the output size as you adjust the settings.

Everything happens in this browser tab on your own device — your video is never uploaded to a server, so even multi-gigabyte files stay private. There’s no file-size limit beyond what your device can handle, and no watermark on the output.

How to

  1. Add your video. Drop the video you want to compress into havenConverter.
  2. Lower the settings. Drop the resolution (e.g. 1080p → 720p) and/or pick a lower quality preset or bitrate.
  3. Export. Export and save — the file will be noticeably smaller.
