Vertical 9:16 video for Reels, Shorts & TikTok
Vertical platforms want 9:16 at 1080×1920. havenConverter can crop an existing landscape clip, or you can build the whole piece on the multi-track timeline — clips, music, titles — and export directly in 9:16. Nothing is uploaded: the file is read from your disk, processed in the browser tab and saved back to your device.
Option A — reframe one clip
Use the crop / aspect tool: choose 9:16 with “cover” fit to fill the frame, adjust the crop, export MP4.
- Drop the clip into the studio.
- Aspect ratio: 9:16, Fit: cover.
- Resolution: 1080p, Codec: H.264.
- Export.
Option B — edit on the timeline
Switch to the Timeline editor, set the export aspect to 9:16, then arrange clips, add a title with an entrance animation, put music on the audio lane, and export. The “Also export as” boxes render a 16:9 or 1:1 version in the same run.
Safe areas
Keep titles inside the middle 80 % of the frame: platform UI covers the top and bottom edges. Drag the title on the preview — what you see is what renders.
